On November 13th, Westbrook’s Energy Committee and representatives from Connecticut Light and Power, will host a workshop on residential energy saving programs offered through Energize Connecticut. The event will be held from 7-8:00 p.m. at the Community Center Room of the Westbrook Public Library, 61 Goodspeed Dr, Westbrook, CT 06498. It is free of charge and open to the public.
Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about energy-saving programs available to them, including the popular program Home Energy Solutions℠ (HES), designed to help people save money on their energy bills.
For those who sign up, CL&P-authorized energy specialists will come to your home or apartment and provide energy improvement services which include locating and professionally sealing critical air leaks, replacing up to 40 incandescent lights with energy-saving bulbs, and insulating hot water pipes.
While these services are valued at an average of $1,000, the cost for the HES service is only $99, and is free for those who meet certain income eligibility guidelines.
Representatives from CL&P will be on-hand to discuss available programs and answer questions.
